Alfred L. Wagner, 88, of Trumbull, owner of Wagner Christmas Tree Farm, died on September 10 at St Vincent Medical Center.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Laurie DiNallo and her husband, Michael, of Sandy Hook.
Born in Monroe, he was the son of the late George and Emma K. (Frye) Wagner. Mr Wagner enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Monroe Rod and Gun Club and Newtown Fish and Game Club.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Thornhill) Wagner; a son, Donald Wagner and his wife, Barbara, of Milford; a sister, Katheryn Batterson of Derby; another grandchild, Mark Wagner of Taos, N.M.; and a great-grandson, Connor DiNailo.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 14, at 10 a, at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road in Trumbull, with the Rev Caroline Meyers officiating. Interment will follow in East Village Cemetery, Monroe.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the charity of their choice.
Calling hours were scheduled on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm.
