Fundraiser Set For Florida Disaster

Sally Lynn MacDonald of Sandy Hook will be hosting a charity scrapbooking event on Sunday, September 19, to benefit the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. The proceeds will be donated to a Florida chapter to assist the victims of Hurricane Charley and Hurricane Frances.

The event will be held from 10 am to midnight. Participants will pay $40 to attend the scrapbooking meet, which will be held at the Scrapbook Palace, 3561 Main Street, in Stratford.

Participants are invited to come and work on their scrapbooks and other paper arts. Ms MacDonald, a former resident of Florida who witnessed firsthand the devastation of Hurricane Andrew in 1992, will be on hand to demonstrate how easy and rewarding scrapbooking can be.

After this event, she will be hosting the “Paper Arts with Heart” series on the first Sunday of each month starting at November. Participants will pay $15 to attend each event, all of which will be held at the Scrapbook Palace. All proceeds from the event in November will be donated to Kevin’s Community Center in Newtown.

Sally Lynn MacDonald is a Close to My Heart consultant who holds Paper Arts with Heart workshops. The company is headquartered in Pleasant Grove, Utah. For information visit www.inkyheart.com or call 203-570-6444.
