Another Successful

Labor Day Book Sale

To the Editor:

Generous book donations, dedicated volunteers, and many hours of just plain hard work are the ingredients for a successful book sale event. The Friends of the C.H. Booth Library board thank all who made this year’s sale the best ever.

First, we thank the dedicated year-round volunteers who sort, price, and store the many boxes of books that arrive each day into our loving care. We thank all the volunteers who show up to work the sale each year — giving so generously of their time and talent over this holiday weekend.

And we give special thanks to the following folks and businesses that made our annual book sale event so special this year: The Town of Newtown, Cognisa Security Company, Angela, at DeMarco Miles & Murphy, Newtown Hardware, The Newtown Bee, the Danbury News Times, Curtis Box, Pepsico, Stop & Shop, Boy Scout Troop 70, Ashlar of Newtown, Petra Fashions, and Eric Bagger who provided easy listening music throughout the weekend.

Now, back to preparing for next year’s sale…

On behalf of the Friends of the C. H. Booth Library,

Joanne Zang, Peter Stern, & Mary Maki
