A Thank You From Canine Advocates

To the Editor:

Canine Advocates of Newtown, Inc would like to thank everyone who voted in The Bee’s King and Queen Contest and made their donation in our name. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of so many dog lovers who wanted to help our Newtown Pound dogs.

It was wonderful to see numerous rescued dogs in the contest. Every entry was worthy of the title King or Queen. We send our congratulations to all the finalists, and especially to King Ellis and Queen Misty. Without so many worthy participants, we would never have benefited in such an outstanding way.

We cannot thank The Bee enough for thinking of such a clever way to enable us show off our own dogs while benefiting others. Thank you, Scudder Smith, for your undying love of dogs and your continued support of Canine Advocates. Thank you, Shannon Hicks, for all the work you did organizing this amazing event. And thank you, Newtown dog lovers, for remembering Canine Advocates and the Pound dogs.
