Chamber Event At Fraser-Woods

On Thursday, September 20, the Fraser-Woods School will host an open house for the members of the Chamber of Commerce of Newtown, Inc. The open house will take place at the school, located at 173 South Main Street in Newtown. The event will be held from 5 to 7 pm and is open to all chamber members and those persons interested in joining the Chamber of Commerce.

The Faser-Woods School, formerly known as Newtown Montessori School, has been in Newtown since 1968. The school moved to its current location in April 2000 and changed its name at that time. The school educates children from 18 months through the eighth grade. It is an independent school which uses a Montessori curriculum.

According to Chamber president Christine Maturi, “The Chamber of Commerce uses the open house format to spotlight its members by inviting chamber members to visit companies at their locations to become more familiar with the businesses in Newtown and their products and services.”

The Fraser-Woods School open house will include a tour of the new facility and refreshments will be served. Anyone interested in attending the open house should make a reservation by calling the chamber at 426-2695 by September 17.
