Urgent Care of Connecticut opened its sixth walk-in clinic, and first in Newtown, on Friday, August 30. Located in Plaza South at 266 South Main Street, this facility joins other Urgent Care clinics in Brookfield, Glastonbury, Norwalk, Ridgefield and Southbury. All Urgent Care of Connecticut offices are open 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday, and 9 am to pm on weekends and holidays.

Urgent Care of Connecticut recently earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for accreditation by demonstrating compliance with national standards for health are quality and safety in ambulatory care organizations. The accreditation award recognizes Urgent Care of Connecticut’s dedication to continuous compliance with The Joint Commission’s state-of-the-art standards. 

The clinic serves as an adjunct to primary care physicians, and provides a convenient alternative to visiting the emergency room for any non-life-threatening condition or illness. Urgent Care of Connecticut clinics are the only physician-owned, independently operated urgent care facilities with physicians on duty at all times in this part of Connecticut.
