Danbury: The Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut will hold its second Annual Run for the Children 10K Race, Kids Run, and Family Walk on Saturday, September 10. The event will start at the Boughton Street YMCA in downtown Danbury and run through Main Street, Deer Hill Ave, and a part of White Street. Start time is set at 10:30 am and parking is available at the Patriot Garage.

Roxbury: The Roxbury Road Race series will resume on Saturday, September 10, at 8:30 am with the fourth annual Two For The Show charity race of a 3.1-mile course. There is a $5 entry fee that can be paid between 7 and 8:20 am on race day. The proceeds will help fund research into autism and juvenile diabetes.

On Saturday, September 17, the runners will meet at the Roxbury Land Trust nature preserve on River Road to compete in a 3-mile run that will start at 8:30 a.m. There is a $5 entry fee that can be paid between 7 and 8:20 am. The funds will benefit the land trust.
Trumbull: The 21st running of the Great Pumpkin Classic will be held at Trumbull High School on Sunday, October 23. The event includes a 4-mile race, and features a Kids Fun Run, a two-mile health walk, and lots of food, fun and excitement. Proceeds will benefit the Trumbull High School Scholarship Foundation and the Trumbull Chamber of Commerce Community Grant Fund, which is used to support town activities. The annual road race is sponsored by the Trumbull Chamber of Commerce, an affiliate of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council. Race coordinator and Trumbull Chamber board member Kathleen Eigenrauch said sponsors, runners, and day-of-race volunteers are needed.
