Paul H. Krueger, 72, of Danbury, formerly of Newtown, died on September 3 at Bethel Health Care. Mr Krueger was the husband of Francoise Jacqueline (Rigal) Krueger.
He was born in Cartwright Township, Ill., August 24, 1933, son of Gus A. and Louise L. (Cordes) Krueger. He attended Illinois schools and was a US Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War.
An area resident for the past 45 years coming from Springfield, Ill., Mr Krueger was a retired technical engineer with the Eaton Corporation, a position he held for 30 years, retiring in 1995.
In addition to his wife Francoise of 30 years, he is survived by a son, Paul Krueger, Jr; a daughter, Wendy Krueger; three stepsons, Andre Harriman, Robert W. Harriman, Jr, and Richard A. Harriman; three brothers, Fritz Krueger, Karl Krueger, and Kenneth Krueger; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.
Funeral services took place September 8 at King Street United Church of Christ, Danbury, with the Rev Cindy Maddox officiating.
Interment will be private.
