Hawk Watch At Lighthouse Point

SOUTHBURY — The Lillinonah Audubon Society will be traveling to Lighthouse Point in New Haven on Saturday, September 17, to attend the Third Annual Hawk Watch Festival.

This annual event is sponsored by the New Haven Parks Department and the New Haven Bird Club, among other organizations. Besides hawk watching, there will be bird banding demonstrations, exhibits of live hawks, and activities such as canoeing and a nature walk for beginner birders.

The group will meet at the Exit 14 commuter parking lot  in Southbury at 8 am and will return by approximately 2 pm. (Rain date is Sunday, September 18.)
