  *Need more proof that the return of the Eighties is still very much among us? THE FIXX will be performing at East Hartford Community Cultural Center on October 24. Tickets are $18.

  *Upcoming show at Foxwoods Resort & Casino’s Fox Theatre include LOS LONELY BOYS on October 1 (tickets are $45 and $55), THE OUTLAWS on October 13 ($16.50 and $22), BILLY RAY CYRUS the following night ($33 and $38.50), OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN on October 15 ($66 and $82.50) and TRISHA YEARWOOD on November 4 ($44 and $55).

   Tonight’s B.B. KING BLUES FESTIVAL and The JETHRO TULL show on October 7 at the casino are both sold out.

  *Tickets will be going on sale in two stages this weekend for the ALAN JACKSON, SARA EVANS and THE WRIGHTS shows at Mohegan Sun Arena in November. Tickets will first be available on Saturday at 10 am through TicketMaster outlets only (walk-in, phone and online). They will be going on sale at Mohegan Sun’s box office on Sunday.

  The shows will be performed Thursday and Friday, November 10 and 11, at 7:30 each night. Tickets are $70 and $95 apiece.

  *A reminder that this weekend will be the third annual Jamie Hulley Fund for the Arts benefit. “An Evening for the Arts,” featuring music by the national recording artists AZTEC TWO-STEP and dance by The Lee Lund Teen Company, will take place on Saturday, September 10, at the Quick Center at Fairfield University.

  All proceeds will benefit scholarships and arts educational programs in Fairfield and New Haven counties. Reception and silent auction begins at 6 pm, and the performance begins at 7:30.
