*Although one of their best-known songs has become used in commercials and movie snippets more times than it has rained this summer, fans who love THE OâJAYS (âFor The Love of Moneyâ) should have fun hearing the original version on Saturday, September 16, when the group headlines at The Palace Theater in Waterbury.
Tickets are on sale, priced at $46, $56 and $66, and can be purchased online at PalaceTheaterCT.org, over the phone at 203-755-4700, or in person from the theaterâs box office (100 East Main Street), which is open Monday through Friday from 10 am until 5 pm.
*Newtown residents will be busy this weekend. KERRI CARTELLI will be playing at Mocha Coffee House in Sandy Hook on Saturday night. Sheâll be joined by some friends in performing songs by everyone from Sarah McLachlan, Grateful Dead and Eva Cassidy to Bonnie Raitt, Peter Gabriel and Pink Floyd.
*Over at Georgetown Saloon, former Newtown resident David Lott and his pals in HAT CITY BLUES BAND will be performing. Theyâre also scheduled for a Saturday night gig, but theirs starts around 9:15.
Until next week Iâll be seeing you... on the road.
