âPeter Panâ Will Open Latest Young Audience Series
FAIRFIELD â Peter Pan will fly into Neverland with Wendy and her brothers on Sunday, October 1, with performances at 1 and 3 pm, in Fairfield Universityâs Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. This will be the first production of 2000-01 in the Quick Centerâs Young Audience Series. The production is appropriate for kindergartners through grade 6.
Staged by Theatreworks/USA, Peter Pan is based on J.M. Barrieâs story of the boy who would not grow up. Peter will take the audience on a journey they will never forget. As the story unfolds, Wendy and her brothers, Michael and John, learn to have fun using the power of imagination while helping Peter defeat his nemesis, Captain Hook.
Based in New York City, Theatreworks/USA has been entertaining audiences since 1961. The troupe is the recipient of numerous awards and has helped launch the careers of such noted actors as Danny Glover, Henry Winkler and Susan Egan (of Broadwayâs Beauty and the Beast).
Subscriptions for the Young Audience Series of six productions are $48 for adults; $36 for children. Discounts are available for birthday parties. Single tickets for Peter Pan are $10 for adults, or $8 for children.
