Occupation: I am a pharmacist and owner of Newtown Pharmacy and Surgicals, at 20 Church Hill Road. My partners are Naveen Parupalli and Rahmath Quadri. We specialize in medical supplies, we fill prescriptions, and we do compounding, as well as address special medical needs.

Family: My husband is Lakshman Paidi. We have two children, a 5-year-old daughter, Rhea, and a 3-year-old son, Aarav.

How long have you been in Newtown? The pharmacy opened in early March, but we commute from Paramus, N.J., each day. It’s not so bad; we are going against the traffic.

What do you like to do in your free time? I like spending time with the family, and keeping myself up to date with pharmaceutical news. I like to listen to old time rock and roll classics. I used to play guitar and keyboard. We do get out to the movies now and then.

Do you have a favorite musical group? Mostly I listen to Indian music and a little bit of everything else. I don’t really have a favorite.

Do you have a favorite actor? Keanu Reeves.

Do you have a favorite vacation destination? I love going to the beach with the family. We went recently to the Dominican Republic. It’s beautiful there.

What is the best thing about Newtown? People are really nice here. We’ve noticed people are used to the personal service like they used to get at the Drug Center, and we try to provide that. We have delivery service, and older people and moms like that.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? I would say my parents and my husband, and all my dear friends. They are all supportive and encouraging.

Do you have a personal philosophy? Be bold, and work hard.

Do you have a guilty pleasure? Just going to the mall is my guilty pleasure, sometimes to shop, sometimes to window shop.
