Textile Sale Returning September 14-15

MONROE — The Monroe Historical Society’s Annual Textile Sale has become an anticipated event for anyone interested in fabrics, textiles or fiber. All items offered for sale have been donated throughout the year, and organizers say that donations this year have been spectacular.

The Monroe Historical Society will hold its annual textile sale Friday, September 14, from 3 to 7 pm, and Saturday, September 15, from 9 am until 2 pm, in the Barn at the Beardsley Homestead, 31 Great Ring Road in Monroe. Items will include new and vintage fabrics (sold by the bag), quilting fabrics, rug hooking/braiding wools, decorator fabrics, thousands of buttons, boxes and boxes of patterns, trims and notions, yarn, craft supplies, knitting needles and crochet hooks, quilting and other textile books and magazines, sewing machines, vintage sewing collectibles and much more.

Call 268-5511 or 261-8554 for more information.

Donations are accepted year round. Any fabrics, notions, vintage clothing, household linens, textile equipment or craft supplies will be accepted. Those bags and boxes of fabric scraps, ends of skeins of yarn, unfinished needlework projects, patterns no longer needed may be just what someone else is looking for.
