Support The Markettes

The Newtown High School Markettes will be holding a car wash fundraiser on Saturday, September 15, from 10 am to 2 pm, at the Botsford Fire Department on Route 25. The Markettes are 16 girls who perform at all the home football and basketball games, as well as pep rallies and at the Newtown Labor Day parade. The senior tri-captains for the 2007-2008 school year are Katy Caulfield, Mia Malin, and Samantha Ross. In August, the girls attended a week long hip hop style dance camp at the Performing Arts Center of Connecticut in Trumbull in order to prepare for the upcoming season. They compete in the South-West Conference Dance Competition every March. Stop by on Saturday and lend your support.
