Newtown Road Race

It was a spectacular September Saturday for the 2nd Annual Newtown Road Race 5K and Praxair Kids’ Fun Run. This year, 554 runners registered and 225 kids participated in the Fun Run. Several hundred spectators lined the route to cheer on the runners!

Thank you so very much to all our wonderful runners, sponsors, and volunteers. With your contributions, Newtown Youth & Family Services will continue to offer great programs and opportunities for the youth and families of Newtown.

Moms Programs

Gym Time begins on Wednesday, September 12, and runs from 9:30 to 11:30. There will be 14 sessions and the cost is $40.

 Youth Programs

Sibshops will meet on Monday, September 10, from 5 to 6 pm.

Children of Divorce will meet on Monday, September 10, from 6 to 7 pm.

 Support Groups

Hope and Support meets Mondays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. Parents or caregivers with questions or concerns about a child’s possible or confirmed substance use or abuse are welcome to attend this group. The Hope Group will not meet on school holidays, school breaks, or snow days.

Grandparents/Caregivers meets every Wednesday from noon to 1:30.

Autism Group has resumed meeting on Thursdays at 7 pm.
