Darlene A. (Shackleton) Wilson, 63, of Fairfield, beloved wife of Peter M. Wilson, died September 5 at St Vincentâs Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, the daughter of Harold and Loretta (Kiernan) Shackleton, she had been a Fairfield resident since 1971.
Survivors in addition to her husband, Peter, include a sister, Barbara Wagner and her husband, Donald, of Milford and Sandy Hook; a niece, Laurie DiNallo and her husband, Michael, of Newtown; a nephew, Mark Wagner of Sandy Hook; one grandniece; and three grandnephews.
Mrs Wilson was a retired administrative assistant with 35 years of service for the Southern Connecticut Gas Company. She was a parishioner for more than 36 years at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, where she belonged to the Ladies Guild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 8, at 9 am, meeting directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call on Friday, September 7, from 4 to 7 pm, at Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
