A Candidate’s Announcement

To the Editor:

It is with great excitement that I announce my candidacy for Newtown’s Legislative Council. As many of you know, I am a lifelong resident of Newtown and take great pride in serving our community in various capacities.

Newtown needs leaders who are willing to facilitate a collaborative and productive process; a process that brings together our agencies, organizations, commissions, and committees to address the growing needs of our community. It is time that we embrace long-term strategic planning while keeping in mind the unique charm and character of our town. I am eager to provide our town with such important leadership and look forward to working with many of you.

I am proud to call Newtown my home and I hope that you will support me in preserving all the goodness that I have known Newtown to have since I was a small child. It is, indeed, an honor to be giving back to a community that has provided me with so much in the past 24 years.
