Michael Lombardi
Michael Lombardi, 78, of South Salem, N.Y., died September 4, at the Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y.
Born in Waterbury on September 10, 1921, he was a son of John and Jennie Lombardi. He was a World War II US Army veteran and received the Purple Heart while serving with Company B, 20th Engineer Combat Battalion. He was a member of the Disabled Veterans organization._Mr Lombardi was the owner of Lombardi Builders, Inc., in South Salem, N.Y., and Michaelâs Lawnmower Repair in Danbury. He lived in South Salem for the past 40 years.
Mr Lombardi is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sylvia; his children, twin daughters, Lorraine Lombardi-Anderer of Somers, N.Y., and Carol Bobel of Newtown, Catherine Lombardi of Bethel, and Michael J., Jr, of South Salem, N.Y.; his grandchildren, Katherine and Laura Bobel; and brother, Joseph Lombardi of Mahopac, N.Y.
The funeral service was held at St Mary Roman Catholic Church, Ridgefield, on September 7. Interment was in South Salem Cemetery.
