To the Editor:

When I was a child, my parents taught me that honesty was important, and that I shouldn’t tell lies. These days, we see politicians who get away with telling lies all the time, and taking credit for accomplishments they voted against, yet everyone makes excuses for them. We need a different type of politician, someone who will tell us the truth, and who will fight for us. That’s why I’m voting for Michelle Ku to be our representative in Hartford.

Michelle exemplifies rigorous honesty. We can count on her to do what is needed in Hartford because she has proven herself to be trustworthy. She’s experienced in government; she’s served on the Board of Education, the Legislative Council and the Board of Selectmen in Newtown. Her record of keeping her promises is exemplary. But some of the problems we’re facing need to be addressed at a state rather than local level. That’s why Michelle is running for State Representative.

When Michelle says she’s going to fight for a better healthcare system that works, you can count on it.

When Michelle says she’s going to fight for education, you can count on it.

When Michelle says she’s going to fight for the health of our environment, you can count on it. When Michelle says she’s going to fight for a safe and affordable community, you can count on it.

Michelle knows how to listen to our concerns, and can be trusted to bring these concerns to Hartford and to reach across the aisle to get things done to help us. We need real and honest representation in Hartford. Vote for Michelle Ku for State Representative on November 5.
