A Special Candidate For A Special Town
To the Editor:
Newtown is a special community, one with tighter bonds and unique wounds that few living outside it can even begin to comprehend. We have watched, awestruck, as groups of your citizens have bonded, separately and collectively, and grown into national examples for advocacy and change implementation. You don’t talk about making a difference; you actually make the difference. You deserve leadership that shares that determination and that leader is Rebekah Harriman-Stites of Newtown, who seeks to secure Connecticut’s 106th General Assembly seat.
My vantage point of your candidate is a professional one: I work alongside Rebekah at HK Consulting group as we tirelessly secure financial resources for state nonprofits that serve their communities. In that capacity, one of exhaustive effort, Rebekah’s passion is infectious. When weary, we lean on her leadership to siphon her vigor, determination, and dedication to those we serve. These are her clients, whereas you are her community, Newtown her home; her devotion to you is incomparable.
Whatever your personal passion: education, mental health care access, wage fairness, or common sense gun control, Rebekah Harriman-Stites is the candidate Newtown needs in your corner. You have risen, in the wonderment of a nation, from a community befallen unimaginable tragedy to a town of advocates, warriors for change, and a beacon for hope. Rebekah Harriman-Stites is the right choice for Newtown’s voice in Hartford because like you, Newtown, Rebekah doesn’t talk; she does.
Respectfully submitted,
