Mary Aileen Pryde

Mary Aileen Pryde, 88, died August 25 in her home in Alexandria, Va. Ms Pryde was born and raised in New York City and graduated from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, N.Y. She lived for many years in Newtown and worked at the Cyrenius H. Booth Library.

She also lived in Whiting, N.J., and later moved to Gaithersburg, Md., where she was a parishioner at St John Neumann Church and was a member of The 50+ Club.

She was the beloved mother of Joan (Ray Consoli) Pryde. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Kathleen Canny; and ten nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 6, at 10:30 am, at the St Louis Catholic Church in Alexandria. Burial will follow at a later date in the St Rose of Lima Cemetery in Sandy Hook.

Services are under the direction of the Demaine Funeral Home, Alexandria.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs Pryde’s memory to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen VA 23060.
