Patricia Dailey

Patricia Ann Mailloux Dailey, 51, the beloved wife of John Dailey, died suddenly on Tuesday, August 26.

Pat was born in Bridgeport in 1952 to Clara Colasanti Mailloux and the late Alfred Mailloux. She was a graduate of St Ambrose School and Harding High School.

In addition to her loving husband and her devoted mother, she is survived by her loving daughter, Elizabeth Dailey of Southbury; two brothers, Alfred Mailloux and Robert Mailloux, both of Bridgeport; one sister, Delores Fernandes of Somerset, Mass.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless very dear friends. She was influential in the lives of generations around her, from a young boy who started kindergarten this week and his sister to her mother and her mother’s circle of friends.

Pat was a giving, generous person who acted as everybody’s mother, always taking care of family and friends. She was a kind and creative woman who had an infectious laugh that would sometimes shake her entire body. She had a gift for being able to make anyone laugh. She was also someone who was easy to talk to about anything.

Pat was famous for her homemade spaghetti sauce, lasagna, macaroni and cheese, and her regular shopping excursions. She just loved being out of her house for hours on end, and spent more time looking for gifts for others than for herself.

Calling hours were Friday, August 29, in Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Pat’s life was held at St Ambrose Church in Bridgeport on Saturday, August 30, followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery in Southbury.

Those who wish may make donations in Patty’s memory to either the American Diabetes Association, Connecticut Affiliate Inc., 300 Research Parkway, Meriden CT 06450, or to The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut, 940 White Plains Road, Trumbull CT 06611.
