AAUW To Host
âWomen In Mediaâ Program
TRUMBULL â The Bridgeport area branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will present âWomen in Media: The Changing Face and Perception of News Mediaâ at its annual Presidentâs reception Tuesday, September 16, at 7 pm, in the Trumbull Library Community Room.
The program will feature Dianne Wildman, director of editorial services in Connecticut for Cablevision (Channel 12), and Fayne Erickson, former publisher of Ms magazine.
Ms Wildman, an Emmy Award winner, was a correspondent for NBC News and assistant deputy US trade representative for public affairs in the Clinton administration.
Ms Erickson is a member of the board of directors of the Womenâs Campaign School at Yale University, a former president of the National Association of Women Executives (NAFE) and chairperson of Taxpayers in Revolt, an organization based in Naugatuck.
AAUW Branch President Laurel Anderson will introduce former branch presidents and current board members. The public is invited to attend.
