A Town Golf Course?

To the Editor:

In response to Charles Tilson’s letter advocating that the Town of Newtown build a public golf course, I want to say simply that our town government is up to its eyeballs with difficult issues and that the citizens of Newtown should not rely on our government for every wish they have.

Also, since Mr Tilson is convinced that this would be a good financial project, I would suggest that a group of golf enthusiasts form a nonprofit organization and develop this golf course.
