Calculator Owners Sought

Police are seeking to find the owners of several handheld electronic calculators, which were stolen from Newtown High School students in October 2000.

Police still possess several calculators of the seven calculators, which were stolen from unattended backpacks in the school’s boys’ locker room while students were in class during the week of October 16, 2000.

Following the incident, police charged three boys under age 16 with the thefts.

Police ask the owners of the stolen calculators to contact high school Security Officer Rich Novia, police Sergeant Darlene Froehlich, or School Resource Officer Robert Koetsch to claim the calculators.
