William E. Turso, Sr
William E. Turso, Sr, 62, of Janet Street, Milford, beloved husband of Linda (Pilacamp) Turso, died September 1.
Mr Turso was born in Harrison, N.Y., on July 19, 1938, to the late Leonard and Mary (Capparelli) Turso, and was a Milford resident for two and a half years. He was a resident of Newtown for eight years prior to moving to Milford.
Mr Turso was retired from the County of Westchester in Valhalla, N.Y., where he was a corrections officer for 26 years. Mr Turso was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Linda, include three sons, William E. Turso, Jr, of Milford, Matthew Turso of Georgia, and Andrew Turso of Massachusetts; two daughters, Lisa Turso of Milford, and Christina Turso of New York; a brother, Robert Turso of Florida; four grandchildren, Christian, Nicholas, Julianna, and David; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mr Turso was predeceased by siblings Leonard, Raymond, Madeline, and Donald Turso.
The funeral service was held September 5 in the Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. Interment was at the convenience of the family.
