To the Editor:

Putting your name out there to encourage people to put their trust in you as a representative is a daunting thought.

I can imagine it would be an even more daunting task.

However, when there’s an eagerness to work, an energy to lead, and an excitement to represent — it gives me pause to know there’s someone out there that will be ready to go on day one. Who won’t stop when the battle begins. Who won’t disappear when the going gets tough. Who will have the stamina and presence when it’s needed most.

Rebekah Harriman-Stites evokes just that.

This job is for the people. A listening first, speak second position that must seek consensus. A leader with the guts to speak up on behalf of those who are most vulnerable and who has the vision to bring ideas to the table and collaborate. Someone who will be a mover and a shaker in Hartford. Someone with a darn pulse.

Rebekah is a visionary. A community organizer. A force that won’t be handcuffed by a party caucus.

The light’s about to go dark in the 106th district, and it’s time to change the bulb.
