Preserving The Glory Of Nature

To the Editor:

I would like to publicly thank John and Anne Howat for their generous donation of 68 acres to the Newtown Forest Association. I moved to Newtown to enjoy the beauty and abundance of its undeveloped land only to watch in dismay as subdivisions take over much of our landscape.

I too hope that the example set by the Howats will be followed by others lucky enough to be surrounded by the glory of nature.
