Garner Inmate Arrested

On Assault Charge

State police report they were dispatched to the state’s high-security Garner Correctional Institution at 50 Nunnawauk Road about 1:24 am August 27 for an incident requiring investigation.

After investigating, state police charged Garner inmate Christopher Boggus, 49, with assault on a peace officer.

Boggus was arraigned on the charge on August 27 in Danbury Superior Court. He scheduled to return to court on September 15.

Boggus is serving a one-year sentence in Garner following a conviction on a threatening charge, according to the state Department of Correction.
