Adele Moros To Offer Painting Demo For SCAN
The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown will welcome Adele Moros painting a watercolor landscape on Wednesday, September 9, at 7:30 pm. The free demonstration will take place at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street. The public is invited, free of charge.
Ms Moros is a multi-media artist with a background in advertising. Her work ranges from miniatures to murals and landscapes and florals to portraits. She has been teaching for twenty years. Her work is included in numerous private and public collections.
In 2000 she designed âTiffany Cowâ for Cow Parade NYC. The Metropolitan Museum has slides of the bovine, which was auctioned for $60,000 following its public display, in its permanent collection and uses them in lectures on Tiffany.
In 2002 she created âJungle Gym,â an eight-foot giraffe for Stamford Safari. The same year she designed a faux stained glass porta-potty for Imodiumâs âUrban Relief Projectâ in NYC. The Newark Star Leger described the piece as a âShow Stopper.â In 2008 Adele was the featured artist at the Hospice Annual Fund Raiser Gala in Danbury.
Currently Ms Moros is part of âWine Women and Art Part 4,â an exhibition on view until September 13 at White Silo Winery in Sherman.
