Ian Mason

Mason is a Newtown native and sophomore at Western Connecticut State University. He played baseball and ran cross country in high school and continues to play golf.

Favorite part about playing: “It’s slow paced.”

Toughest aspect: “Consistency — definitely. Fifty percent of the shots are bad.”

When he’s not golfing: Enjoys working out.

Team he roots for: Boston Red Sox.
