Quilt Exhibition

At Historical Society

BROOKFIELD CENTER — During the month of September, The Brookfield Museum and Historical Society, at the corner of routes 25 and 133, is hosting a quilt exhibit featuring the works of the well-known local quilter Patricia Jennings. The exhibit, “A Quilter’s Odyssey,” showcases Mrs Jennings’ collection of quilts, dolls and wearable art. Mrs Jennings has been quilting for more than 20 years and is an award-winning quilt maker, lecturer, teacher, and doll maker. Her quilt works have been exhibited in shows all across the country as far away as Washington state.

In addition, Mrs. Jennings will be available to answer questions on her works Saturday, September 11, from 1 to 5 pm, and will conduct an artist’s lecture on Wednesday, September 29, at 7:30 pm. Admission to the exhibit and the lecture is free. For more information call 740-8140.
