Local Democrats To Host Bysiewicz

Susan Bysiewicz, now in her sixth year as Secretary of the State, will appear at 8 pm on Thursday, September 9, in the Alexandria Room at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street.

During her tenure, Secretary Bysiewicz has worked to make the information housed in her office more accessible to the public, posting all campaign finance reports on the Internet, and providing on-line access to essential information on the more than 120,000 companies registered to do business in Connecticut. 

Ms Bysiewicz has streamlined the business registration process, and provides technical assistance to small and minority-owned businesses. She also saved Connecticut taxpayers money by returning $3.6 million allocated to her office to assist with deficit reduction.

Hosted by the Newtown Democratic Town Committee (www.newtowndems.org), registered Democrats are encouraged to attend, and the public is invited.
