Mr and Mrs Richard Canfield

The marriage of Brooks McIntire of Charleston, S.C., daughter of Kenneth and Kay McIntire, Wilmington, N.C., and Richard Canfield, Charleston, son of Richard T. and Angelina Canfield of Monroe, took place August 13 at St Thomas Church in Wilmington, N.C. The Rev Green officiated.

Kate Struntz and Anna Clark, sisters of the bride, served as matrons of honor. Marie Canfield, sister of the groom, Tara Maddock, Klaira Simon, and Sara Simon served as bridesmaids. Flower girl was Katie Gregory.

The father of the groom, Richard T. Canfield, served as best man. Ushers were Nicholas Canfield, brother of the groom, Paul McIntire, brother of the bride, Joe Caruso, cousin of the groom, Jim Logan, Dan Maddock, and Joe LaRoche. Bo Frazier served as Bible carrier.

A wedding reception at St Thomas Hall followed the ceremony.

The bride attended the College of Charleston, and is employed as a paralegal in Charleston.

The groom, who has many Newtown friends and family members, attended Sacred Heart University in Fairfield and is presently employed as the manager of 8 Queen Street Restaurant in Charleston.

After a wedding trip to Italy, the couple will make their home in Charleston.
