Make-A-Wish Fashion Show Rescheduled
A fashion show of kids and teens clothing to benefit Make-A-Wish, originally scheduled for last weekend, has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 4. The show will be presented from noon to 2 pm at the Sandy Hook Farmersâ Market.
The weekly market is presented in the parking lot at 1 Glen Road in Sandy Hook. The fashion show was rescheduled due to rain last weekend.
Local clothing merchants, including Style, Deliaâs, The Magic Garden, and Clareâs, are the fashion sponsors; hairstyling has been donated by Sandy Hook Hair Company. Tre Regazzi, a new boutique on Glen Road, has now been added as a fashion accessory sponsor.
There will be a simultaneous bake sale and raffle of prizes including autographed footballs by former National Football League player Freeman McNeil, a Style gift card, Mets tickets, and other items donated by local companies.
There is a suggested donation of $5.
The fashion show was organized by Alexandra Napier-Ruzek, 13, and other local teenagers.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. In the event of rain again this weekend, the fashion show will be presented in the lower meeting room of C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street in Newtown.
