Frank E. Adams, 57, of Sandy Hook, died August 29 at Danbury Hospital. Born in Logan, W.Va., he had resided in Sandy Hook for eight years, and previously in Stratford for many years.
He was a US Army veteran with the rank of Sp4. Mr Adams was a maintenance engineer at Imagineers in Shelton. He loved computers, gadgets, animals, and his home.
He is survived by his parents, Frank Adams of West Virginia, and Anna Chafin Travis of Stratford; a brother, William J. Adams of Milford; a sister, Melissa A. Adams of Stratford; his finacée, Susan Campbell of Sandy Hook; her daughter and her husband, Michelle and Henry Welkes, and their daughter, Brittany, all of New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Paul Adams.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, September 1, at 8:15 am, in the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford, and at 9 am in First Congregational Church, 2301 Main Street, Stratford, with the Rev Joshua Sander officiating. Interment with military honors will be in Middletown State Veterans Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, August 31, from 4 to 7 pm, at the funeral home.
