Elizabeth Vincenzi Rossi

Loving Mother And Grandmother

Elizabeth Vincenzi Rossi, 78, of Easton, died August 28 at Bishop Wicke Health Center. Born in Arnara, Province of Frosinone, Italy, on June 6, 1929, she was a daughter of Pietro and Louise Guiliani.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Breza and her husband, Robert, of Sandy Hook, Linda Stevens of Milford, and Lenore Merik and her husband, Charles, of Milford; two sons, Peter Vincenzi and his wife, Diane, of Derby and James Vincenzi and his wife, Kelly, of Plymouth, Mass.; daughter-in-law, Joyce Charles; 13 grandchildren, Jenna and Lauren Charles, Jason and David Breza, Thomas Vincenzi, Stacey Stevens, Edward, Ricky and Joey Merik, Francine Dubriske, James Jr, Matthew and Brian Vincenzi; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her family in Italy, which include two brothers, Loreto and Giovanni; three sisters, Nicolina, Marisa, and Lisetta; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Natalino “Natale” Rossi.

Mrs Rossi was a seamstress at Warnaco’s for many years and also worked for Levine Coat Factory and Remington Rand. Mrs Rossi loved to cook, tend to her garden, and visit with her family in Italy. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother whose smile and strength will be sadly missed.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 31, at 10:30 am, from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11 am in St Margaret’s Shrine, Bridgeport, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends and relatives may call on Friday morning from 9:30 am until the time of service.
