Businessman Earns âGood Scoutâ Award
Newtown resident and local businessmen Michael P. Rizzo, founder and CEO of Caldwell & Walsh Building Construction, Inc in Sandy Hook, is one of two recipients of the âGood Scoutâ award at a luncheon on September 20 at the Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury.
The âGood Scoutâ award is presented those who exemplify the ideals of the Boy Scouts of America as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law. Recipients are chosen for their outstanding community service and leadership.
Since 1983 Mr Rizzo has managed commercial construction projects and has grown his firm, which now has offices in Newtown and New York City. As a youth he was a scout with Troup 333 in New York. Several times a month he serves as a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight Northeast, a nonprofit organization that coordinates free air transportation for patients who require medical treatment but face financial constraints.
Mr Rizzo lives in Sandy Hook with his wife Jessica and their three children.
