O&G Promotes Inside Sales Rep

DANBURY — Art Portela was recently promoted to Inside Sales Representative for O&G Industries-Masonry Division.

In his new position, Mr Portela will be responsible for developing relationships with potential clients and providing product solutions with existing customers to lead the Masonry Division’s efforts in securing additional business and growth in Fairfield County.

“His extensive product knowledge, strong ties in the masonry industry and customer service experience fits with our long term sales strategy,” said Marc Moavero, general manager of the Danbury store.

Mr Portela has more than two years of sales experience in the mason business, beginning his career as construction material counter sales in the Danbury stone-yard and mason store facility. Previously he worked with Pepsi-Cola in various capacities, including merchandiser and driver.

He holds a trade certificate in plumbing and heating from Bullard Havens Technical School in Bridgeport.

O&G Industries-Masonry Division is one of the largest suppliers in Connecticut of masonry products, services and green project solutions. Facilities include five mason stores and six stone-yards, four Earth Products Showcase showrooms, a fabrication and distribution center and stone splitter facility.
