Like Money In The Bank
To the Editor:
Chris Lyddy is a breath of fresh air in our historic, picturesque hometown. Coming from a strong tradition of family and dinner table conversation, Chris has learned to listen with humility, compassion, and attentiveness. He is a man of integrity and loyalty not only to his own family, but to his new extended family, our own community of Newtown. Many of us have watched him emerge through the ranks of our own educational system, evolve into a man of great respect and dignity. Is it all too good to be true? Absolutely not!
I was recently afforded an opportunity to engage Chris in a conversation at the Sandy Hook Diner. I looked him in the eye and challenged him on issues related to our senior citizens, our schools, our adolescent population, taxes, and the like. I found him to be not only knowledgeable, but well-versed and passionate. In the short time that heâs been in office, heâs become a student of the issues that related to our town. But that is not enough for this energetic leader. Chris actively seeks to hear the voices of the people he represents. His mission, simply put, is to amplify the voices of the people, their hopes and dreams as well as their concerns as we go forward.
A vote for Chris Lyddy will be a wonderful long-term investment in our town. Much like Julia Wasserman, Chris hopes to spend his future with a watchful eye on the helm of the Connecticut General Assembly; listening, responding, and communicating Hartfordâs agenda with us, while bringing our ideas to the forefront of that agenda.
Watch for Chris, or join in with his team of supporters marching in the Labor Day Parade this weekend. Youâll be sure to walk away with the contagion of enthusiasm that follows him. Chris Lyddy has the time and the ability to make the commitment to the oldest citizens, as well as the youngest. Heâs intelligent, able, and a heartfelt hero in our midst!
Please join me, as I vote for Chris Lyddy on November 4 of this year. My vote, Iâm certain, will be like money in the bank with a very positive, long-term yield.
Sincerely yours,
Gael Lynch
