Laura E. Gerry, 59, of Omaha, Neb., died August 16 at her home. Ms Gerry was born February 20, 1949, in Norwalk, daughter of William and Virginia (Lassen) Gerry of Weston and Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Survivors include one sister, Ellen R. Whalen and her husband, George, and a niece, Meghan Rice, all of Newtown; three nephews, Peter Whalen of Heidelberg, Germany, Murphy Whalen of Carmel, N.Y., and James Whalen of Plano, Texas; and her best friend, Bonnie Dada and her son, Jake Dada, of Goshen.

Ms Gerry was currently employed as vice president of talent management for Mosaic in Omaha.

Services are scheduled for Friday, August 29, at 10:30 am, from the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East, Westport. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11am at Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Avenue, Westport. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Greens Farms Road, Westport. Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, August 28, from 6 to 8 pm, in the funeral home.
