Bruce E. Peaslee, 55, of East Hartford, died August 22, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born in Exeter, N.H., December 20, 1952.
He is survived by his mother, Phyllis (Tracy) Hogan of Sandy Hook; four daughters, Nicole, Jessica, Sarah, and Rachael Peaslee; three granddaughters, McKayla, Kaitlyn, and Huntter; an unnamed granddaughter on the way; two brothers, Dennis and Charles Peaslee; and three sisters, Cathleen Derosier, Donna Peaslee, and Patricia Shannon. His father, William Peaslee, predeceased him.
Throughout his struggles, Mr Peaslee remained devoted to his faith in God. He was also an avid reader, and a diehard Red Sox fan. He loved the outdoors. Some of his greatest memories were camping and fishing at New Found Lake in Bristol, N.H.
A memorial service was held August 25 at De Leon Funeral Home, Hartford.
