A Word To The Wise

To the Editor:

I have lived in Newtown for 44 years and have seen many changes and one of them is the increase in crime. Not only vandalism and break-ins, now it’s handbag theft in or outside the supermarket or other stores.

I would like to share a tip with ladies who leave their handbag loose in their shopping cart — use the child seat belt through the handles of your bag, keep the zipper closed, or carry the bag on your shoulder.
