The 2003 Bertram Stroock Tennis Tournament – sponsored by the Newtown Tennis Association – will wrap up all the loose ends with the semi-final and championship rounds Saturday and Sunday at Dickinson Park.

The Men’s and Women’s Open Singles will start at 10:30 am each day. Men’s 55 Singles will start at 1:30 pm each day. Men’s and Women’s Open Doubles will start at 12 noon each day. Mixed Doubles will start at 3 pm each day.

Men’s Open Singles: Quarterfinal action has Bob Elliott (#1) vs Bill Meier and Tim Hanley vs John Reisert, with the winners facing each other in the semifinals. Scott Gattey (#2) will face the winner of the Tim Snyder/Gerhardt Kutt match in the semifinals.

Women’s Open Singles: Semifinal action will have Diane Alicea (#1) vs Diane Wenick and Barbara Snyder (#2) vs the winner of the Anastasia Batzer/Julie Stern match.

Men’s 55 Singles: Semifinal action will have Ron Ando vs Larry Haskel and Hugh Lavery vs Leon Barkman.

Men’s Open Doubles: Semifinal action will have Dave Beauchemin and Bob Elliott (#1) vs Neil Culligan and William Culligan and Dom Nocturne and Tim Snyder (#2) vs Gerhardt Kutt and John Reisert.

Women’s Open Doubles: Semifinal action will have Eileen Frattaroli and June Frost (#1) vs Marilia Rodriguez and Helen Yee (8:45 am on Saturday) and Maura Fletcher and Maureen Maher (#2) vs the winner of the Haskel/Lavery and Logan/Tibbetts match.

Mixed Doubles: Semifinal action will have Bob Elliott and Lauren Elliott (#1) vs Hugh Lavery and Jan Lavery and Barbara Snyder and Tim Snyder vs the winner of the Haskel/Haskel and Fields/Fields match.
