Lorraine I. Barchi

Lorraine I. Barchi, 75, of Bethel, died August 23 peacefully at home, after a courageous four-year battle with cancer.

She was the wife of the late Frank J. Barchi, Sr.

Mrs Barchi was born in Danbury, November 20, 1927, daughter of the late James and Bessie (Danion) Natale.

She is survived by her sons, Frank I. Barchi, Jr and his wife, Eileen, of Newtown, Ronald Barchi of Newtown, and Richard Barchi and his wife, Nancy, of Bethel; her daughter, Shirley Barchi of Avon; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs Barchi was employed by the National Semi Conductor Corp and later Amphenol Corp, retiring after numerous years of service.

Mrs Barchi and her late husband Frank had been married for 52 years.

A private person, Lorraine enjoyed reading, shopping, and her trips to Foxwoods Casino.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St Mary Church, Bethel, on August 26. Burial was in St Peter Cemetery.
