Correction

An article in the August 22 edition of The Bee entitled “Back-To-School Preparations At School Board Meeting,” incorrectly reported that a suspended student’s record remains until the student leaves the system.

State law stipulates that the only way a student’s record is expunged is if he or she graduates from high school.
