Softball Champs Say Thanks

To the Editor:

On behalf of the entire #1 Women’s Softball Champions of Walker Industrial, we would like to thank many groups and individuals for this, our best year!

We would like to thank the Board of Directors for the league who work so hard each and every year. They put together the schedules, times, umpires, and all the massive details in order for the season to run smoothly. Other than some rain, it was by far a terrific job well done.

To our coaches, Gene Vetrano, George Stockwell and Bob Chiapetta, thank you so much for being there for us. Your direction, comments and encouragement enabled us to become better players this year. We really had a great season both defensively and offensively.

To our families and friends, we offer a big thank you. You came to all of our games, cheering us on to go all the way and we did!

To all the other teams that we played against this year, we thank you too! It was great seeing all of our friends and teammates for another year as well as all the new players who joined for the first time.

We would also like to thank our sponsor for the fifth year, Walker Industrial (Pat and Jack Ryan) for their continued support.

Lastly, we would like to thank our team and players for winning all 10 regulation games, 1 playoff game and finally the championship game. We have an undefeated and unblemished record of 12-0.

To our fellow teammates: We love you sista’s! Be the batta walka!
