Parade Streets Close At 9:15

The Newtown Police Department advises Labor Day parade goers to arrive earlier this year because some streets will close earlier and others will not be available for parking. 

Main Street will be closed to traffic beginning at 9:15 am on Labor Day because of the flag ceremony that will precede the parade.

There will be no parking on no parking on Elm Drive to Hawley Road, no parking on Hawley Road, and also no parking on Schoolhouse Hill Road.

The flag ceremony, at Main Street and Route 302, will begin at 9:15. The parade begins at 10 am.
