Merryall Prepares For Season Finalé
NEW MILFORD â Merryall Center for the Arts will conclude its 50th anniversary year with three performances in September. Tickets may be purchased at the door on the night of performance or call the center to reserve tickets at 860-354-7264.
All performances include, at no cost, a post-show meet-the-artist reception with a variety of refreshments being served immediately following each performance.
On Saturday, September 8, for an 8:30 pm performance, Out To Lunch, one of the areaâs favorite string bands, will bring its blend of fiddle, swing and bluegrass vocals to Merryall. Tickets are $15.
Irish tenor Richard Slade will perform the following weekend, on Saturday, September 15, also at 8:30 pm. Mr Sladeâs performance, called âIrish Minstrelsy: A Tribute to John McCormack,â covers the great tenorâs career from opera and art song to the Irish ballads which made him so beloved. Tickets are $15.
On Saturday, September 22, at 8:30 pm, flutist Rhonda Larson will perform the season finale. Ms Larson is a composer as well as a performer, and all ages will be enthralled by her talent. Admission to the finalé performance is free thanks to a grant from the New Milford Commission on the Arts.
